Invite you to share in their joy as they celebrate their union
In 2015, Zwanga was deep in the hustle of building something special. He was running a start-up called Ventso Group, a young, ambitious company trying to make its mark. Like many early ventures, Ventso was full of energy and creative ideas. One such idea was a quirky online competition — simple but engaging. The prize? A selfie stick. It was the height of the selfie craze, and Ventso saw a chance to connect with people while growing its reach.
Somewhere else in the city, Itumeleng — thoughtful, curious, and always up for something fun — came across the competition. With no real expectations, she entered. A few days later, she received a message that she’d won. A selfie stick was on its way to her — delivered in person, no less.
That’s when Zwanga stepped in. As the founder, he often got hands-on with everything, even prize deliveries. He knocked on Itu’s door with the selfie stick in hand, expecting just a handshake and maybe a thank-you.
But something about the exchange lingered longer than planned.
The conversation didn’t end at the doorstep. It flowed, naturally. There was laughter, curiosity, and the undeniable feeling that they’d just stumbled into something more than a competition prize drop-off. The selfie stick, ironically, ended up capturing one of the most important “clicks” of their lives — the one between them.
From that day forward, the two stayed in touch. What began as a casual encounter slowly unfolded into coffee chats, long conversations, shared dreams, and a partnership rooted in mutual respect and a spark neither of them could ignore.
Years later, that simple selfie stick became a symbol — not just of a marketing idea gone right, but of the beautiful randomness of life. Sometimes, the smallest things can lead to the biggest beginnings.
And for Zwanga and Itu, that moment in 2015 was the start of everything.
